PDP frowns on ‘harassment’ of Mailafia | The Guardian Nigeria News

National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, has urged the Department of State Services (DSS) to stop “harassing” erstwhile Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Dr. Obadiah Mailafia.

He told the secret police to tilt to the “dictates of democracy and learn to accommodate dissenting views.”

The PDP chair said the “continued invitation of the former CBN topnotch is disrespectful of his status and unmindful of his contributions to the development of this country.”

In a statement yesterday, Secondus maintained that the “good ingredient of democracy is that citizens must be allowed to have their say even when they cannot have their way on any issue.”
